MINET: Professional Consultant Delivers Positive Report
Posted Date:
CCG Consulting, a respected full-service consultant for small communications carriers, was contracted by the MINET Board of Directors to perform an analysis of MINET and its operations.

The report, received in April, 2016, was very positive. CCG Consulting had done a business analysis for MINET three years ago. The 2016 review shows most shortfalls identified in 2013 as corrected.

Though some trends are out of its control, such as diminishing traditional cable TV use, MINET’s data capacity is unrivaled. As TV watching moves toward streaming, MINET’s powerful data will make the transition easy for its customers.

MINET as a business is stable, serving between 70-80% of all available customers. “Though we have a generous market share, we continue to pursue every customer available to us,” said General Manager Don Patten.  “MINET is poised for growth in new directions.”

MINET is able to cover operating expenses, routine capital needs and a substantial portion of debt service requirements. The report includes a variety of suggestions to improve MINET’s financial performance.

Currently serving Monmouth and Independence, MINET is built to deliver fiber-optic data, video and voice to the door of every home and business within the two cities.
